As a member of the investment management team, Ken focuses on the corporate securities in our custom LDI portfolios. He trades corporate bonds across all of the industry sectors and maturities. He is responsible for keeping the portfolios consistent within their sector allocations, managing the yield curve exposure, and maintaining a neutral duration against the benchmark. He also assists the client service effort by presenting asset/liability strategies to our institutional clients around the country.
Since joining Ryan Labs in 2009, Ken has been involved in many aspects of the daily operations of the firm. His initial job was to create client reports and update consultant databases with performance numbers as part of the Sales & Marketing team. He then joined the Asset Management team in 2010 as an analyst responsible for trade settlement and account reconciliation. While in that role, Ken also worked closely with our team of IT programmers to design and implement three proprietary software programs. Those programs have further automated the client reporting, accounting, and back office functions for Ryan Labs. He assumed his current role as a bond trader in 2014, and in 2017 was promoted to Director.
Ken graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 2008 with a B.A. in Economics, as well as, a B.A. in Religious Studies. He is a 2019 Level II CFA candidate.
